Well, We're Back...

We're back in Chattanooga! We have been for two weeks, actually. I haven't been updating much because...

1. We're dead tired from moving across the country.

2. We've been fighting sickness and colds off and on since getting back.

3. Everything has been crazy since getting back.

4. Quinn still isn't sleeping well. But he is cutting 4 teeth...his canines, which are the worst.teeth.ever. All at once...ugh.

4 1/2. I haven't been sleeping well, either. In fact, I'm pretty sure Quinn gets more sleep than I do because I wake up as soon as he wiggles (and he won't sleep anywhere but next to me once I go to bed). At least I can sooth him back to sleep before he fully wakes up and wails.

5. Wil and I went to a super-fun boardgaming "conference" where we played games all day. Well, I got tired every day after playing all morning, but Wil played all day and long into the night most nights.

6. Aurora and I are working on our garden! She's declared that she's a princess who doesn't like getting dirty, so her "help" is actually just jabbering my ear off while she plays in the weeds I'm pulling up. She cracks me up.

That's about it. Busy, busy, busy. Maybe I'll post some pictures and videos when I don't have anything else to do. Ha! Someday, I'll get around to it...

The No-Cry Sleep Solution Log: Day 120-- More of the Same

I'm tired. Quinn's tired. Wil's tired. Aurora says she's tired--but she's the one in this family who's getting the most sleep! I think we picked a bad time to start this no-cry sleep solution thing. I gave up logging every 10 days 70 days ago...We're how many teeth later? 6? And, guess what? In addition to currently cutting his two lower molars, Quinn is also cutting his upper canines. That means that his lower canines are probably bothering him, too. Too many teeth!!! I think teething must be my most-hated part of parenting. BUT at least we're getting all of these over at the same time. Once the molars and canines are in, he shouldn't have any more teeth to cut until his 2 year old molars, so we should get several months of no teething. Please, oh please, oh please?

Mommy, these teeth are making me just plain miserable!

In addition to all that, sharing a room with Quinn is getting progressively more and more awful. He moves a TON when he's asleep and I'm such a light sleeper that he wakes me. Case and point: last night he slept for 5 and a half hours without fully waking up...BUT he moved around so much that I only got about 2 hours of sleep during that time. He'd start moving just as I started to drift off and startle me back awake. I don't fall asleep easily, so that was frustrating. However, Quinn did have a good night...

Day 120 Sleep Log Summary

Nap: 3 hours (!!!!!!)
Last time: 1 hour, 30 minutes
Night time sleep: 10 hours, 30 minutes (!!!!!)
Last time: somewhere between 7 and 8 hours
Wakings: 3 full wakings (and went 8 hours without nursing! W00t!)
Last time:
too many to count
Total sleep per day: 13 hours, 30 minutes (wow!)
Last time: 10 hours at best
Recommended amount of sleep: 13-14 hours

So, I may be sleep deprived, but Quinn actually slept really well. I think once we get past these teeth, we're going to see some really good sleep. I have that hope. Plus, we're heading back to Tennessee this weekend and we'll be re-arranging our house so that Quinn is NOT SHARING OUR ROOM and maybe then I'll have some good sleep, too. I cannot wait!

Oh my goodness, I'm tired....
