One rainy fall day, I decided to try out some fun with contact paper. I taped it up to the window, sticky side out, and gave Aurora some translucent tiles to stick to it.
She enjoyed it, but didn't get into like I thought she would. Maybe when she's older...
BUT...I hit on another idea. We went out and collected some fall leaves, ironed them flat, and stuck them on the contact paper.
Then we stuck the leafy contact paper to the window! Now we have beautiful fall leaf "stained glass."
Aurora was thrilled with this project and loves to stand and look at the leaves each day, especially when the morning sunlight is shining full on them. :)
I wrote more about this project on
