We are safely in Ohio and settling into our new apartment. Aurora is not cooperative with us going to get public internet, so that's about all I can type for now. Hopefully we will have internet later this week and I can post lots of pictures and stories from our travels in Washington State and our move to our new home here in Wooster, OH.

An Afternoon at the Park
We love being outside, especially Aurora. She loves being out in the open, feeling the wind in her hair, and being able to run as fast as she can as far as she can. Here in Dayton, we have a nice little park that is completely cut off from any roads, so she is about as safe as she can be when she runs off. There's also a little toddler play area that we enjoy setting up near, so that she can play on it while Wil and I play with the frisbee--or with her, depending upon if she wants us or not.
This particular Sunday afternoon, we took our lunch to the park for a picnic! Piggies in a blanket: mmmm!
Messy strawberries--her favorite!!
Playing peek-a-boo with the camera...
Goofy girl. :)
She can go down the slide by herself! Wheee!
That's all for now.

Breakfast!
Ah, that lovely time of morning when we're only half awake and aren't sure we like that half of awakeness anyways. Perhaps this is why our breakfasts are usually something fast and easy. Whatever the case may be, Aurora has decided that her favorite breakfast is the same one I eat: cream of wheat. I'm not sure why she likes it--but probably because she's not fully awake and enjoys messy things.
And so follows an account of our typical breakfast time. I think the video and pictures speak for themselves....
(Nevermind that the video and pictures were taken on different days--most mornings are the same anyways. I blame my lack of creativity on our general sleepiness.)

After being cooped up for several days due to rainy weather, we venture out into the still damp world. :)

Pool Fun!!
The post I promised you at the end of the last one about visiting Momma and Poppa. :)
Testing the water to see if it's warm enough. It wasn't at this point.
All adorable in her swimming suit and hat.
She loved playing with her toys in the water...
...but not actually being in the water with her toys!
All done!! :)
That was a short-lived trip to the pool! Next time the water should be warmer, so she'll hopefully enjoy it more.

Visiting Momma and Poppa
While Wil was in Ohio interviewing for his new job, Aurora and I went to my parents' house for a visit. We had all sorts of fun.
Looking out the back door (which Aurora loves because it has windows down at her level.)
Playing with bubbles--and Uncle Matthew.
A new sippy cup from Momma and Poppa--Aurora loves it. :)
All sorts of exciting toys and furniture to explore.
Lots of beautiful flowers to touch.
She even got her hair fixed!
Enjoying the wonderful porch and backyard.
But wait....there's more!! Our next post will have pictures from her first dip of the season in the kiddie pool! :)

A Trip to Pocket
Pocket is the name of our local wilderness conservation area. Over our past almost 6 years here, we have enjoyed many adventures there. But Aurora has only been twice--she isn't quite into the the whole 4 mile hike thing. ;)
Aurora likes to walk as much as we let her, but, as with any inquisitive toddler, going is slow if you let her move at her own pace. So there's lots of down...
...up...
...down, run...
...lay down to check out that interesting rock...
...up...
...and more up.
And then there's the river. Doesn't Aurora look thrilled to be that close to it?
Yeah, the water was pretty cold.
Definitely not what she prefers. :)
